Welcome 2013 @ Stafford Street studios

We are excited! it's 2013 and that means a whole new year's worth of workshops at our new home the Stafford Street studio & workshop space in South Murwillumbah.

We have a great program lined up for the first part of the year with a special guest workshop artist to be advised further into the year.

This yer we are holding once a month all day Saturday workshops as well as weekly half day workshops on Friday mornings in the cosy studio/workshop space.

So to kick off the workshops for March we are offering barebones papermaking as well as our usual inky and book making treats.

Book a workshop HERE or browse though and see what takes your fancy. remember if it is not on the program you can always get a small group of friends together and ask us to run a workshop tailor-made to your desires.

Here's the flyer and hope to see you soon

air and it's elements

There are many elements that go into a good workshop.  Have a peek at Noah Barron's footage from Sunday's Air :: Elemental workshop to see the day in motion.  We are ever so grateful for his "moving images" gift and he still had time to create a beautiful little tome - clever fella!

Print + Paper + Book will be running a series of four short workshops before the Christmas break making screen-printed gift wrap, paper envelopes and gift cards, packaging ideas and more festive treats.  Keep you eyes open for the sessions that are "to be announced" very soon at The Hey Maker! Online Store.

Thank-you Noah Barron!

Celebrating all things airy - sky, storms, moon, stars, rain, trees (high rise for birds) freedom, flight and of course the wind that blows, the air we breathe.....fantastic creations from our workshop participants. Well done all!

Flying High

We're excited!

Our next workshop will be held in the new home and base of printpaperbook! We've been roaming around making art in beautiful places but there's no place like home!

Our new home is is the Hey Maker! Workroom at 15 Commercial Road Murwillumbah.

It's a gorgeous place, very central for all the out of towners and smack bang in the middle of the Murwillumbah cafe scene. So at our workshops you'll never be short of choice as to your coffee, chocolate or lunch cravings.

The Hey Maker! Workroom has been made possible through Pozible, the crowd sourced funding venture to which so many people pledged their donations supporting the idea of a cool creative space in down town Murwillumbah.

So now on to the workshop(s).

The first is a continuation of our elemental series Flying High (Air) where your ideas and imagination can take flight.

We'll be making Japanese inspired woodblock prints, printing and making flags and of course, a sweet little book construction called, you guessed it - a flag book using sumptuous hand made paper from B Box Productions.

Follow the prompts on our BOOK HERE and you can book into to this fantastic workshop - you can also read testimonials on what people have said about our past workshops.

November workshops have still be be defined but we know its going to be a full festive month of short mid-week morning workshops on Wednesdays at Hey Maker! Workroom - so stay tuned, get on our mailing list and we'll keep you up to date.

Hope to see you at our next workshops....
